COMING MAY 2026!
Earth is the only known planet that supports life, and in this earth science textbook, Exploring Creation with Earth Science, 2nd Edition, elementary students discover what makes our home so remarkable. Through 14 engaging lessons, students explore Earth’s atmosphere and biosphere, climate and weather, rock and mineral cycles, and unique places around the world. Hands-on activities help bring each concept to life, putting the wonders of Earth right at their fingertips. Along the way, students gain a deeper appreciation for God’s intentional design and the orderly processes that sustain and renew the planet we call home.
Exploring Creation with Earth Science, 2nd Edition begins by guiding students through the observable universe, helping them understand that Earth is our unique and carefully designed home. Since Earth is the only known planet capable of supporting life, students are encouraged to appreciate the incredible gift God has given us.
Students learn about Earth’s location in the habitable zone and how God designed our planet to protect life and provide for our needs. The course then explores Earth’s four major spheres, the geosphere, hydrosphere, atmosphere, and biosphere, showing how each plays a vital role in sustaining life. Students examine Earth’s rotation and revolution to understand day and night, seasons, and the passage of time.
As they build a functional globe throughout the course, students gain a clear understanding of latitude, longitude, and time zones. They study the forces that shape Earth’s surface, the types of rocks that form the crust, and the processes that continually reshape the land. Lessons on weather, climate, and atmospheric conditions introduce students to basic forecasting skills. The course concludes with studies of life on Earth, natural life cycles, unique places around the world, and a deeper reflection on seeing God’s hand in creation.
This one-year Earth Science textbook includes 14 lessons. The Notebooking Journal, sold separately, provides a suggested detailed lesson plan and daily schedule designed to help young explorers stay organized and confident throughout the school year.
