Digital Photography: Portfolio to Profession, 4th Ed(T233)
Digital Photography: Portfolio to Profession teaches the principles and skills required to gain competence in digital photography, including applications for smartphones. Designed for students who are interested in making photography a future career or lifelong passion, this title includes a chapter on commercial photography including soft skills, marketing strategies, and methods to operate a photography business. Later chapters include techniques for specific photographic situations, such as action and events, outdoor photography, travel photography, and portrait and studio photography. This edition includes three new chapters for an additional focus on improving lighting, mobile photography, and mobile postprocessing. Portfolio assignments engage students in creating a variety of images and building their own portfolio.
- Section projects offer hands-on application of all of the major concepts in each chapter, incorporating modern practices from using smartphones to storing files in the cloud.
- An all-new design and updated photos represent modern practices, equipment, and diverse subjects to appeal to beginner students entering the world of photography.
- End-of-chapter questions and activities (Review Questions, Critical Thinking questions, Suggested Activities, and Communicating about Photography activities) reinforce and heighten student understanding of the chapter content.
- The Student Lab Workbook combines review activities and hands-on labs to apply and extend knowledge.
